Innovate or Stagnate: Perspectives from a CIO

There are three main perspectives on innovation that I keep in mind:
Product innovation: This is the most obvious type of innovation, and it involves creating new products or services that meet the needs of customers. For example, Apple's iPhone was a product innovation that revolutionized the mobile phone market.
Process innovation: This type of innovation involves improving the way that products or services are created or delivered. For example, Amazon's use of automation and machine learning to improve its order fulfillment process is a process innovation.
Business model innovation: This type of innovation involves changing the way that a business operates. For example, Uber's use of a ride-sharing model is a business model innovation that has disrupted the taxi industry.
All three of these perspectives on innovation are important, and businesses that want to succeed need to be able to innovate in all three areas. However, I believe that process innovation is often overlooked, and it can be just as important as product or business model innovation.
