Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Assists and help journeyman mechanics to perform highly technical duties to trouble shoot, diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain a very diverse, multi-manufacturer fleet of automotive vehicles, trailers, light plant to semi-truck tractors, dozers, and extremely large pipe handling loaders with very long operational life cycles ranging up to 30 years.
-Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical equipment, using a variety of hand tools and equipment powered and non-powered tools.
-Provide emergency and non-emergency repairs of the transportation equipment and perform scheduled pm maintenance repairs of transportation equipment.
-Perform mechanic skills, including but not limited to, mechanic electrical. Pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer controlled, trouble shooting, and repair of transportation vehicle/equipment.
-Assist transportation servicers to fuel, clean, p.m. service, tire repair for vehicles and equipment and clean shop workplace.
