Computer Scientist Junior Level

A3 Technology is seeking a Computer Scientist to join our team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This position will be responsible for providing software design, coding, testing, system integration, and field support services for the Technical Operations support service team. Applicable functional areas include skill and knowledge of real-time design, development, testing and interfacing of software and computer hardware systems. Experience in software development, testing, problem solving, and specific knowledge with VM, Win2000, Unix, or Linux is required.



Essential Job Functions:

• Provide application design, code, develop, test, and maintenance support for the Technical Operations support services program.


• Troubleshoot, problem solve, and debug issues that arise in production and during solution development.


• Experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.


• Demonstrate initiative, customer support, and team work competencies.


• Develop/Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate system patches and resolve software and hardware related problems.


• Experience or knowledge in testing large, real time systems.


• Provide routine site assistance via telephone or on-site as required.


• Experience with Windows 2000 Operating System, Unix, or Linux.


• Work under general guidelines and objectives with supervision.

Other Job Functions:

• Apply education and computer information system/and software principles to assist in assessing complex problems and investigates, develops, appraises, and presents solutions for the team.


• Test and evaluate policies and methods, including test plans, test procedures, test report developments, and test executions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Programming Languages: C/C++, C#, VB, or Python.


• Operating Systems: Unix, LINUX, or Windows.


• Applications: Microsoft Suite, Database (MySQL, Oracle).

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Math, or other technical field, with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science with five (5) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field.


• Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science with three (3) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
