Care Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:


As a Clinical Care Coordinator, you
play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring patients have a great experience
from the moment they walk through the door to when they leave the office. The
Coordinator helps oversee the clinical and front office functions to provide
our patients high quality, patient-centered care. In this role of Clinical Care
Coordinator you will provide hands on care with the administration, fitting and
care of the Mandibular Advancement devices. Additionally patient education is a
focus that one provides to customers, it is the responsibility of the Clinical
Care Coordinator to have a grasp and solid understanding of Obstructive Sleep
Apnea. In this manner you will feel comfortable in clearly explaining the
disease process to the customer.


JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT
LIMITED TO:


  • Works hand in hand with our doctors to provide direct
    patient care in accordance with all applicable health standards.
  • Enters patient notes for the doctors to review and edit
    as necessary.
  • Assists with all front office functions including
    patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification,
    and answering phones
  • Provides clinical education both verbally and written.
  • Provide quality transcriptions from verbal
    communications to a progress note in the customers chart.
  • Ensures any patient complaints are handled
    appropriately.
  • Prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness,
    and modifying activities as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing
    levels are maintained.
  • Participates in regular staff meetings.
  • Manages filing and retrieving medical records and
    patient information.
  • Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of patient charge
    entry into the billing system and assists with collecting and recording
    co-pays (cash and/or charge).

Qualifications


EXPERIENCE:


  • One year of medical office experience is required, yet
    be substituted in lieu of appropriate work experiences.
  • Medical dictation.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is highly
    preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,
    and Outlook.
  • Experience using an EHR system is extremely helpful.

EDUCATION:


  • Graduate from a recognized training facility for
    medical or clinical studies is preferred.
  • Course-work in healthcare is a plus.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:


  • CPR Certification is preferred, but if not New Concept
    Sleep / Dental Sleep Solutions will provide the education and course.
