Lead Construction Laborer/Construction Manager

Job Description

Plan, direct and/or coordinate, along with owner, activities concerned with completing current construction projects. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation.

Job duties may include any of the following:

· Confer with owner to discuss and/or resolve existing matters, such as work procedures, complaints or problems.

· Negotiate project specifications.

· Plan, schedule and/or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.

· Develop and/or manage operating strategies, plans, procedures and/or activities.

· Direct and assist other workers.

· Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.

· Track inventory of materials equipment and other resources.

· Purchase materials, equipment and other resources with owner approval.

· Interpret and explain plans and terms to workers and/or clients as needed.

· Communicate policies, procedures and any other important information in a timely manner to both owner and coworkers before, during and upon completion of any/all projects.

· Manage project activities when needed.

· Assist in training of new and/or less experienced workers.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older

· One year or more (preferred) in any skill set or combination thereof (carpentry, plumbing, electric, tiling, painting, etc.)

· Dependable
