Job Description

Perform tasks involving physical labor at job sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. Assist other workers.

Job duties may include any of the following:

· Clean and/or prepare job sites.

· Read/discuss plans, instructions or specifications to determine work activities.

· Load, unload and/or identify necessary building materials, machinery and/or tools needed. Distribute them to appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications. Move materials as needed.

· Measure, mark and/or record openings or distances to layout areas where work will be performed. Measure job site dimensions as needed.

· Dig ditches or trenches and backfill excavations using picks, shovels, rakes, etc, compacting materials to create level bases.

· Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces.

· Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities. Pour materials into or on designated areas.

· Spread concrete or other aggregate mixtures.

· Tend pumps, compressors or generators to provide power for tools, equipment, etc. as needed. Operate pumps and/or compressors.

· Assemble and dismantle temporary equipment or structures.

· Provide assistance to other workers as needed.

· Clean and/or repair tools, machinery, equipment and job site as needed.

• 18 years or older

· Dependable; flexible; detail-oriented; achievement-oriented; a team player.

Job Type/Pay Rate

· Full Time/Hourly (based upon experience)
