Job Summary

West St. Louis County Speed Shop is seeking a professional, full time Automotive Technician / Mechanic. FRANJO SPEED's motto is "Perfecting high performance." We help the performance car enthusiast maximize the enjoyment of his or her car by making it go faster, handle better, brake better, look better, and, in general, reflect the unique personality and tastes of the owner. We do this through quality, proven upgrades to everything from simple exhaust or intake systems to power adders, suspension improvements, brake upgrades, custom wheels, tuning and dyno services on our all-wheel-drive chassis dynamometer, and packages including many or all of these things. We maintain an impeccable shop for our customers' impeccable high-performance cars.

Responsibilities

• Replace/upgrade auto manufacturer components with aftermarket performance parts and systems, such as intake/exhaust systems, wheels/tires, suspension components, brakes, power adders, appearance products, and more.

• Work at a good pace while maintaining accuracy and quality in workmanship

• Review assigned project scopes and communicate any possible issues or areas for improvement

• Qualifications and Skills

• Aftermarket parts installation, adaptation, and customization

• Engine, suspension, brakes, exhaust modifications

• Wheels/tires mounting/balancing

• Functional issues diagnosis and problem solving

• Electronic diagnostic tools usage

• Automotive electrical wiring installation and repair

• Professional demeanor and appearance

• Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude

• Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

• Computer skills required

• Must have own tools (hand tools, air tools, etc.)

• Both EFI and carburetor experience preferred

• Mig and Tig welding skills a plus
