2015 Gibson Black Burst Les Paul 1959 R9 Standard Guitar $2700

This is a Gibson Limited Edition of 100, made in 2015, Collectors' Choice No. 34A, Black Burst Les Paul 1959 R9 Standard of 8.5 pounds (8 pounds 7 ounces). The original is owned by Joe Bonamassa, and has a tale. It was originally made for a collector/player in 1960 who wanted a black standard. The Gibson people had a 1959 left over, which they repainted in Ebony Gloss, and stenciled a 1960 serial number onto that piece. Throughout the years the finish has warn off on corners and edges revealing the original color. On this piece, the original burst 59 finish has been photographed, and a revealing photo has been compared. See the pictures below. Please note this is very aged with scratches dings and bops from the Custom Shop. It is brand new. This was part of the copy process. This was done of course to copy the original. These came in VOS and Aged. This one is number 007 of 100 ("Bond- James Bond. Call me James"). And it rocks.
