My mother is
Althea Washington Harris who is a native of Savannah, GA, her parents were
Joseph Washington and Helen Brown Washington.
Her father Joseph Washington is a native of Savannah, GA and her mother
is a native of Charleston, SC. The only
lineage on my mother’s father’s side I know is Washington, this is all the information
I have. We have been trying for years to
locate my mother’s side of the family and aren’t having any luck due to the lack
of information. My mother’s father
Joseph Washington has been absent from her life since the age of 4 due to his
death around 1950/51. According to his military card his birthday was August 8,
1908, and her mother passed away when my mother was 12 years old around March
1959 in Savannah, GA Fairwood Homes apt. 11.
I don’t have information on Joseph Washington’s parents or if he had
siblings. All my mother’s siblings are
