Mountaineer Autism Project (MAP) is one voice dedicated to early detection and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) with emphasis on increasing access to early, intensive behavioral intervention and the positive growth of the profession of behavior analysis in West Virginia.
MAP is searching for a part-time project coordinator to facilitate MAP’s vision, commitments, and values as defined by its Board of Directors. This position is 100% remote and offers the selected candidate a self-determined, flexible work schedule.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) using community organizing principles to create strong networks of stakeholders, volunteers, and families; (2) event planning and coordination; (3) updating MAP’s online presence via its website and social media accounts; and (4) developing and maintaining up-to-date resource materials.
This position reports directly to the Board. The part-time position will begin with approximately 10-20 hours per week. The demands of the position will require occasional (statewide) travel and may occasionally require weekend work. The position requires the coordination of outreach, educational activities, and fundraising efforts. As the face of MAP, the project coordinator must be extremely organized, responsible, personable, creative, and a self-starter.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Commitment to supporting evidence-based practices for ASD
- Organizational leadership experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience administering and keeping records needed for grant reports
- Experience with budget oversight and reporting
- Ability to update an organization’s online presence
- Resident of West Virginia
- Sensitive to racial, ethnic, class, and differing abilities, as well as other differences among the people with whom
they will work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Grant writing and fundraising experience
- Community organizing experience
- Understanding of ASD and Applied Behavioral Analysis
