Spendor S8e Loudspeakers in Rosenut

Up for sale is an excellent pair of Spendor S8e loudspeakers in the extremely rare rosenut finish. If you have a moderate size room and listen to acoustic music, you'll be hard pressed to find loudspeakers at any price that sound as natural as the S8e's. I have owned Harbeth SHL5's which I consider to be among the best speakers made, but the Spendors are better at a fraction of the price. I have owned this pair for over ten years, but at age 67 it's time to lighten my load. I would love to own them forever, but I just don't have the space for them anymore. They are in excellent condition except for one small nick on the front of one of the speakers where it got dinged by a vacuum cleaner (see photo). I have patched the nick so it's not visible unless you look closely for it. In all other respects, the speakers are functionally and cosmetically excellent.
The Absolute Sound review of them says "At the risk of sounding naïve and overblown, I’m going to give you my true thoughts on the Spendor S8e: Buy it. For $3000 you are, I swear it, getting as close as a whisker to $30,000 in sound. Glorious, house-filling sound."
I have the original boxes, manual, and spikes. I can deliver for a nominal fee in most of Florida south of Orlando. Asking $1195 for the pair.
