The truck has been repainted its current shade of beige with black fender flares and Land Cruiser graphics on the lower bodywork. Equipment includes quad flood lights and LED auxiliary lighting, an ARB roof rack with a Smittybilt roof-top tent, ARB front bumper, custom-made rear bumper with integrated tow hooks, a front winch, front fender protection, rock sliders, an intake snorkel, swing-out rear spare carrier, a hi-lift jack, and a jerry can mount. A handful of photos from the repaint are provided in the gallery.
Black 16″ five-spoke wheels are installed with 1.5″ spacers and mounted with 315/75 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires. A matching spare is housed out back. The suspension has been modified with an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer and an Icon Stage 3 lift kit, consisting of remote reservoir shocks and dual-rate coil springs on all four corners. Braking comes from four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. An alignment was performed and the brake booster was replaced in December 2021.
The cabin features two rows of seats that have been reupholstered in tan and brown leather with matching door panels. Brown carpeting is protected by tan rubber floor mats. Amenities include a sunroof, automatic climate control, an Alpine touchscreen head unit, and power windows and locks. A JL-Audio subwoofer is mounted in the cargo area, and a CB radio has been added, along with an auxiliary panel for the aftermarket lighting.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 224k miles, approximately 20k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency in May 2009, thus true mileage is unknown.
The 4.5-liter 1FZ-FE inline-six was rated at 212 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in December 2021 included replacing the throttle body assembly and oil pressure switch.
Power is delivered to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and locking center and rear differentials. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
