CNC Programmer – Architectural Millwork


Founded in 1975, Woodcraft Unlimited has emerged as one of
Colorado’s premier architectural millwork, casework, and custom furniture
companies. Located just west of the University of Denver, our shop is centrally
located in the heart of the metro area just off Evans and Broadway. Woodcraft
Unlimited is currently in search of a qualified individual to join the company
as a CNC Programmer. The proper candidate will bring to life quality
woodworking products using CAD design and CNC programming. If you are a self-starter
who pays close attention to detail, has a passion for design, as well as a
knack for creative thinking, we would like to hear from you.


Responsibilities:



  • Through close review of each contracted project, work with Project
    Manager and Shop Foreman to ensure products are manufactured accurately to
    the specifications provided by architectural drawings.

  • Using CAD/CAM software, lead the programming operations for all CNC
    machining. Products range from casework and cabinetry, to more complex
    reception areas and conference room units.

  • Provide written and verbal instruction to CNC operator for all
    scheduled machine programs. Note required sheet quantities, material
    finish type, job folder locations, and other important information.

  • Assist in CNC operation as needed.

  • Provide CNC machine maintenance to ensure tools are in working order, and parts are cut to the correct
    dimensions. This includes but is not
    limited to: tool changes, spoil-board fly-cuts and replacement, cutter
    compensations, etc.

  • Provide continuous support to shop floor workers, producing custom
    jigs, templates, and parts as needed.

  • Create new tool knowledge/layer associations between RouterCIM
    Automation and AutoCAD as needed, and update the system to accurately
    machine any new process.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of router bits.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical Degree/Associates preferred.

  • 1-3 years experience with AutoCAD 2017.

  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
    and blueprints.

  • Working knowledge of fabrication techniques in an
    architectural millworking environment. Cabinetry/woodworking
    experience is nice to have.

  • Minimum of one to two years related experience and/or
    training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CAD/CAM experience, knowledge of RouterCIM Automation
    Suite is a plus.

  • Familiarity with 3-Axis CNC milling machines, preferably
    Biesse Rover S.
