Don Sutherland was a Pro Golfer and Club Maker in Dornock Scotland. He came to Canada in 1929 to be the Head Pro at the Vancouver Golf and Country Club. This custom made 5 iron bears the engraving "Don Sutherland, Vancouver G. and C. C. The following is engraved on the club head: Professional Golfers Ass'n, Custom Made, DON SUTHERLAND, VANCOUVER G. & C.C., KRO_FLITE- REG CAN PAT OFF, PAT"D NOV. 27, SWEETSPOT.

Don Sutherland was a very well known club maker in Scotland and most of his hand forged Irons bear the engraving "Made in Scotland" Since this club does not have the engraving "Made in Scotland" we can conclude that it was most likely Made in Canada and hence its rarity.,
