Very old handmade, hand stitched quilt

This is a beautiful handmade and hand stitched quilt. I'm told it's close to a 100 years old and was made by lamp light. It fits a double or full sized bed as king sized beds were unheard of back then. It appears feed sacks was some of the material used. The backing is muslin which was the standard backing for that time period. This quilt belongs with someone who appreciates it. Looking at it you can imagine the love and imagination that went into the making of it not to mention the difficulty in finding enough materials to complete it. I'm told much fabric trading was done among friends to enable each to have various colors and prints desired to create a thing of beauty. Not only necessary for warmth quilts were the center point in a lot of homes that would have otherwise been dark and drab. Give this one a home. It has many years of use left.
