17th/18th century Sicilian wedding chest - $3600

This Cassoni is the perfect combination of rustic and ornate as it has been hand sawn hand carved and hand hewn. It is the only one like it as these were custom made for the bride and typically placed at the foot of the bed. This Cassoni has been extensively been restored to bring it back to its original glory. There is a Sicilian railway tag on the bottom most likely placed when the family emigrated to the US
